Samuela Veramu and Elaisa Joe were all smiles when they received their Fiji Year 10 Examination results.

The Marist Brothers High School students were not expecting the marks they attained.

Samuela said he did not tell anyone when the results would be out.

“I didn’t tell my parents that the results were coming out because I was not confident enough,” the 16-year-old said.

“I was overjoyed when I saw my marks because it was more than the marks I expected. I can’t wait to show them.”

Elaisa had a similar sentiment.

“My grandmother always tells me off because when I reach home I don’t study. I’m excited to show her my marks when I reach home,” he said.

“I’m glad that the school had extra classes and now it has paid off. I thank the teachers for their hard work and motivating us.”

They both want to take art subjects next year.
