Fiji Volleyball Federation anticipates an exciting Oceania Inter Club competition which will be hosted for the first time from January 28-30 at the Vodafone Arena in Suva.

FVF president Nanise Vucago yesterday confirmed that 10 clubs from around the country would be participating during the three-day tournament.

“We’ve our top 10 clubs in Fiji participating- eight clubs from the Central division and two clubs from the Western division,” she said.

“This is the first time Fiji will be hosting the Oceania inter club competition where we will also accommodate top clubs from Australia and New Zealand.”

EVENT MANAGER

The Federation is also planning to advertise for a full time event manager.

“We’re also planning to advertise the position of event manager who will look after the organisation of international tournaments,” Vucago said.

“We will also be doing fundraising drives to help us financially in the new season and also our aim is to secure major sponsors as well.”

BEACH VOLLEYBALL

The Fiji Beach Volleyball teams will be touring New Zealand, Australia and the Cook Islands as part of next year’s Commonwealth Games preparations.

The men and women’s teams have secured their spot at the Commonwealth Games after winning the Commonwealth Games qualifications at the recent Pacific Mini Games in Port Vila, Vanuatu.
