The Future Is Exciting. Ready?

As we bid farewell to yet another year that was, we reminiscence the achievements and learnings of the past year as we enter the New Year.
As the Regional CEO of Vodafone, I take this opportunity to thank all our customers’ for their continued loyalty and patronage to the Vodafone brand.
The New Year comes with greater promise and renewed hope. Vodafone has recently changed its global brand identity with a new tagline “The Future if Exciting, Ready?” which underlines the increasing positive influence technology has on our lives.
The future is indeed exciting as we embrace a world of highly connected people, towns, cities, countries connected through smarter gadgets and devices.
For our part, we remain steadfast and committed to delivering to the people of Fiji, the most cutting edge information, communications and technological solutions for the benefit of all citizens.
Vodafone Fiji is amongst an elite group of networks around the world to have conducted successful pre-5G trials.
Vodafone continues to be the mobile communication of choice to over 760,000 Fijians offering the most cutting edge mobile telecommunications in country.
We keep our customers connected to one another and the world. Vodafone continues to the lead the mobile technology in the country with the rollout of 4G plus network and recently the testing for pre 5G network.
With the proliferation and adoption of smart handsets and smart device, a whole new world of opportunities are now possible with the Internet of Things.
As the convergence technology takes a greater stronghold, mobile phones have become the most powerful device connecting people, industries and the world.
Having served the nation well for 23 years and in the process of establishing itself into a powerful brand, Vodafone Fiji is moving beyond boundaries.
Working in partnership with parent company, ATH Group, Vodafone has now spread its reach in the region with the acquisition by ATH of Bluesky as a teleco operator with operations in Samoa and Cook Island.
All these operations are managed by Vodafone on behalf of the ATH group. Vodafone also has management contract for ATH Kiribati and Vanuatu as well.
This position puts Vodafone Fiji as a strong regional player offering competition, choice and high quality mobile products and services for the consumers in Fiji and the Pacific.
2017 has been another year of significant milestones for the company. Amongst the many achievements, being recognised with Global Performance Excellence Award, GTB Innovation Award and Excellence in HR Awards with spearheading the mammoth transition into Fiji’s first cashless transport industry with eTransport namely are few notable achievements.
We have built our reputation as the industry leader on extraordinary customer service, top quality products, wide spread distribution and accessibility and a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
The Vodafone Fiji Foundation which is our corporate social responsibility arms is the pride of company.
The Foundation gives back to the community in meaningful and sustainable ways to make a real difference to people through its “mobile for social good” initiatives.
We continue to engage with the community to deliver social good programs through the use of mobile technology for lasting impacts.
As we enter 2018, I take this opportunity on behalf of Vodafone Fiji to thank all our customers, business partners, shareholders, financiers, suppliers, contractors and the general public for having the faith in us to look after your information, communication and technological needs.
It is time to set new, practical and challenging personal and professional goals and work towards achieving these goals with much greater vigor, dedication and commitment to ensure sense of accomplishment at the end of 2018.
