As the festive season continues, back- to-school shoppers have flocked to the capital city.

For those who plan their shopping well, back-to-school shopping won’t become a hassle. With only weeks away from the new school term many shoppers in Suva yesterday were seen doing their shopping.

For a family from Nacavanadi in Gau they had started back before Christmas.

Fiji Sun met the family while they were shopping for school uniform at the M. Bhagwan Company Ltd store.

Malakai Tuima, who is teaching at Nacavanadi Primary School, said they started their shopping early because they were returning to the island next week.

The father of four said they were avoiding the last minute rush to shop.

They visited many shops, comparing prices on books and uniforms, and Mr Tuima feels they are affordable.

The Tuima family will spend New Year’s with their family in Cunningham and they wished everyone a prosperous 2018.
