Pastor Apisai Seru was one of the 38 All Nations Christian Fellowship pastors ordained at the Vodafone Arena in Suva yesterday.

Confident and ready to preach God’s word, the 50-year-old of Samabula said being a pastor was God’s calling and he was ready to take up this responsibility to share the good news.

“That’s why I thanked God for his calling, which I witnessed today,” the father of eight and market vendor said.

“I come from a family of pastors so I’m not new to this calling because this is what God has blessed my family with.

“I have been through many challenges, but because this loving God is alive he always gives me the strength to keep going and proclaiming his name.”

His wife Kalini said she was ready to support her husband in whatever way God has called them to fulfill.

Another pastor Epenisa Ligamuri said God chose him to be a pastor and he was thankful to God for his calling.

Pastor Ligamuri arrived in Fiji on Saturday night with his wife Donela to be part of the ordination and they will return to Australia on Thursday.

“I will be serving a ministry in Darwin when I return. Family is one of the biggest challenges I face. God wants me to do his will whereas the devil also tempts me to do his will and they are always confronting each other,” he said.

“Now I will be looking forward to do what God wants me to do and that is touching the lives of young people and lost souls.”

Mrs Ligamuri said she was prepared to support her husband because she also came from a family of pastors.
