Fiji FA Confirms International Games In March

The Vodafone Fijian football team are going to play two international friendly matches during the Federation Internationale De Football Association (FIFA) friendly international window in March.

This was confirmed yesterday by Fiji Football Association chief executive officer Mohammed Yusuf.

Speaking to SUNsports from Auckland, New Zealand, Yusuf says, the matches are going to be against a strong Asian side and an Oceania Two side which comprises of New Caledonia, Tahiti and Vanuatu.

“I can now confirm that we’re going to play two international friendly matches in March,” he said.

“It will be against an Asian side which also has countries like Japan and Korea. We will confirm the name of the team once everything is finalised.”

In the latest FIFA rankings the national football side moved up 10 places to be at 168 after playing a number of international friendly matches last year.
