Jaipur Traders Opens In FNPF Plaza

Jaipur Traders from India opened their first boutique store yesterday at the Downtown Boulevard in FNPF Plaza.
It started with a common dream that four close friends shared.
Vijay Aggarwal, Narender Kumar, Shayam Sunder Ghanshani and Manish Jain travelled to countries such as Malaysia, South Africa, New Zealand, Trinidad, to decide which country they would like to expand their business.
A few months ago, they came to Fiji and realised the potential that the clothing market had.
After a few hectic weeks of running around to finalise their business registration and shipping of products, Jaipur Traders finally opened its doors, offering the Fijians more clothing options at reasonable prices.
“We sell items ranging from Indian and Western wear, suits, salwar, saree, dresses, skirts, shawls, bags, bed sheets, cushion covers, jewellery and so on,” said one of the directors, Vijay Aggarwal.
Mr Aggarwal said the clothes sold at their shop are manufactured at the company’s factory in India.
The four friends also has plans to open another two stores in Lautoka and Nadi after two or three months.
Around $100 000 was invested into the business, said another director Shayam Sunder Ghanshani.
“We believe the market is good in Fiji and we are already experienced in the business too,” said Mr Ghanshani.
He adds that the company plans to import handicrafts and furniture which depends on the customer’s demand for the items.
