HFC Bank Targets Labasa Growth

HFC Bank is starting the New Year with a big bang.

For the first time HFC Bank will have a live broadcast on home loans at its Labasa branch tomorrow.

HFC acting chief executive officer Raj Sharma said for this is basically a home loan under the Government/RBF scheme whereby individuals and households income $50,000 or less can apply loan with an interest of 4.25 for five years and thereafter variable 6.7.

“This is a very competitive rate no banks or institutions offer. Discounted fee of 50 per cent establishment fee for the first 20 customers in Labasa we will offer ,” Mr Sharma said.

“This gives opportunity for Labasa and Vanua Levu customers’ a special package that need additional home loan and those that need to refinance and may look at debt consolidation or even buy car with home loan as one package. HFC can do it.”

The special package is offered only to those that have household income below $50, 000.

He said there would be lots of giveaways for the Labasa customers.

He mentioned that Labasa had good client base for the retail customers for HFC Bank and perhaps one of the busiest branches in the network.
