The National Fire Authority has reported that an electrical fault was the cause of the J Santa Ram supermarket fire.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said police had received the findings of the fire investigations and a police file would be compiled accordingly.
“The file will be compiled with all the necessary statements and documents. The next course of action will be decided by the divisional crime officer,” Ms Naisoro said.
The fire started at the bulk store Saturday morning on December 9, 2017. It has left about 50 supermarket employees without a job.
The fire also spread to the adjacent Lotus Garment’s three-storey building where more than 90 workers were affected.
