The sponsorship signing between Fiji National Rugby League and Vodafone which was to take place yesterday has been deferred.

PIONEER CLUB RETURNS

Meanwhile, FNRL development officer Jone Wesele has confirmed that they would be adding a new team to their competition this year.

“It’s not a new club but actually it was one of the pioneering clubs when rugby league was first played in Fiji,” he said.

“The club is Nausori Bulldogs, which was recently revived after been inactive for almost two decades.”

The club once had star players like Pio Kubuwai, Ian Sagaitu, Anasa Koroitamana, Orisi Cavuilati, Niumaia Korovata, Ropate Senikuraciri, Iosefo Bele, Tomasi Basilio, Savenaca Tuilakeba, Semi Delana, Panapasa Tuilau, Waisake Vatubua, Ovalase Toduadua and the list goes on.
