New Year Gifts Lift Spirits At Ashram

Vodafone Fiji Limited has been engaging nationwide in sharing joy and love with the needy as part of its corporate social responsibility.
Last Friday, about $4000 worth of New Year gift items was given to the only senior citizens’ home in Labasa, the Babasiga Ashram.
Vodafone Fiji Limited chief marketing officer Rajnesh Prasad said visits started to all the senior citizens homes across the country last year in December.
“It ended last week with the only senior citizens’ home in Labasa,” Mr Prasad said.
“Vodafone Fiji staff took the initiative to visit all the senior citizens’ homes with gifts from wish-lists and consumables (groceries),’’ Mr Prasad.
“Our passion for the vanua is embedded in our values. We always want to do our part to make the difference in people’s lives.
“At all the nine homes in Fiji, we got to spend time with the residents and shared the spirit and joy of togetherness.’’
Vodafone Fiji thanked the Ministry of Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation for giving it the opportunity to carry out this programme. Edited by George Kulamaiwasa
