Air New Zealand Confirms Minor Damage On Plane At Nadi

Air New Zealand has confirmed that a Boeing 777-300 aircraft sustained minor damage while at Nadi International Airport last Sunday.
Air New Zealand Senior External Communications Consultant, Kelly Kilgour said the aircraft sustained minor damage when a platform used to load the aircraft moved slightly against the door.
The incident was highlighted on social media by Federated Airline Staff Association (FASA) national secretary Vilikesa Naulumatua. He had posted on his Facebook page that an ATS vehicle was being manoeuvred by an ATS employee whose job description had nothing to do with the role he was involved in.
However, Ms Kilgour said: “All ground handling staff managing the servicing of our aircraft in Nadi are fully trained. The minor damage has been repaired and the aircraft has returned to service.”
FASA is the association which union members of the company belong to.
