The ‘Men in Black’ Ba football side is anticipating a tough competition against Nadi in the opening round of the 2018 Vodafone Premier League at Prince Charles Park at 3pm this Sunday.

Team manager Arvin Singh confirmed the side will be boosted in the Premier League and O-League campaign with the inclusion of three overseas who joined the team at training on Tuesday.

“The three players Troy Watson, Nathan Brown and Amal Singh played in the Canada and the United States competitions

“We are positive that their presence will boost the performance of the team.”

Singh applauded $200K Vodafone sponsorship for the 2018 premier league on Tuesday.

“Another bright moment for Fiji Football as we witness the launching of the 2018 Vodafone Premier League,” Singh said.

“Our preparations are going really well and the players are looking forward to give Nadi a good run in the first round this Sunday.

“We have the same group of players that played in the Courts Inter-District Championship last year but we are hopeful to include some new young players. We are still awaiting confirmation whether these players could play in the national league.

“Our objective is to win the Vodafone Premier League and then progress into winning other tournaments this year.”
