Rewa banks on accountability

The Rewa Rugby Union is focused on improving their financial accountability in the 2018 season.

Union president Ro Filipe Tuisawau believes being transparent is the way forward.

“We work very hard in our compliance in terms of our finances, rules and regulations at club level,” he said.

“We’ve weaknesses in those areas which we try to improve especially financial accountability which is always our weak area. “ This year we’re working on those areas and we want our accounts fixed up.”

Ro Filipe said other area they are trying to work on is infrastructure.

“We only have one ground at Burebasaga and Lokia but it’s not up to standard so we are working closely with the provincial council this year. We’re hoping something concrete to come out from it.”
Meanwhile, the newly promoted top 8 side look forward to a successful outing in the provincial 10s today.

“Looking forward to the 10s, the boys have been preparing well under the guidance of Coach Alifereti Doviverata. For us it’s important to have a good preparation, this 10s is part of that.”
