Chinese 7s teams train in Fiji

The Chinese men and women’s 7s teams will be arriving into the country on January 21 to prepare for the 2017/18 World Sevens Series and the Women Sevens Series.

The Chinese men’s team will participate in the Hong Kong 7s on April 6-8 and Singapore 7s on April 28-29 while the women’s team will participate at the Kitakyushu 7s in Japan on April 21-22.

Former national athletics/ USA 7s winger Jovesa Naivalu and a Chinese businessman are organising the trip.

“The two Chinese teams are coming to Fiji to train and prepare for the season,”Naivalu said.

“The two teams will be camping in Lautoka.”

Meanwhile, the men’s team will take part in the 30th Marist International Sevens in Apia on February 16-17.
