The Navosa Rugby Union will field a team in the Mana Whey Fiji Coral Coast 7s tournament in a bid to maximise their players’ game time before the season starts.

Team manager Semi Boseiwaqa said they are turning up the ante in their preparation for the Skipper Cup competition.

“We are aiming to reach the semifinals and we believe that we can do it,” Boseiwaqa said.

The province of Navosa has produced top sevens players like Semi Kunatani, Luke Erenavula, Noa Nadruku and the list goes on

Navosa also competed in the Fiji Rugby Union sanctioned Skipper Provincial 10s competition that was staged at Bidesi Park in Suva last Saturday.

“Apart from just gauging our players’ performance we want to prepare them well for the Coral Coast 7s and more importantly for the Skipper Cup.”

“Our combinations are gelling in well, we just need to have our players get more game time together. So we’ll be featuring in some other 7s tournaments as part of our preparations.”
