MINISTRY FACILITATES WOMEN’S ENTREPRENEURIAL AND LEADERSHIP YOUTH SYMPOSIUM
The Ministry of Youth and Sports will host a four-day symposium for women in Lautoka that will address issues such as women’s economic empowerment, leadership, self-sufficiency, and career development.
Around 30 women between the ages of 18 to 35 will attend the Women’s Entrepreneurial and Leadership Youth Symposium (WELYS), which will be held at the Ba Holdings Building from today and ends on Saturday.
The inaugural symposium, organised by the Ministry’s West Office, will help equip female youth with the skills and knowledge for economic independence, leadership in the workplace, and entrepreneurial empowerment.
Some of the key components the symposium will focus on are; empowering women, female leadership in action, networking, public speaking, team building, CV writing and mock interview and financial management and fiscal responsibility.
