Woman in court over drinking and driving charge

A Suva woman was served full phase disclosures in the Magistrates Court last Thursday after she appeared in court for one count of drink and driving.
Aloesi Masiwini appeared before Magistrate Deepika Prakash and sought for Legal Aid assistance.
On November 24 last year it is alleged that Masiwini drove a vehicle along Macgregor Road while there was a concentration of 88 milligrams of alcohol present in 100 millilitres of her blood, which was in excess of the prescribed limit.
The charge was read out to Masiwini in court and she indicated that she understood it.
The case was then adjourned to March 5 for her plea to be taken.
She was released on $500 fresh bail and ordered to sign her bail form before leaving the court.
