Travellers on Princess Moana no longer need to worry about their cargo and luggage now that Miller Shipping Services is providing cargo trucks.

Two weeks following its maiden voyage the new vessel is providing the service for Taveuni to Suva travellers and return.

“Passengers worry about their cargo and luggage while travelling, now we are providing them the cargo trucks to store their items property,” Director Panapasa Vonokula said.

“Most bring their crops to sell and it is only fair that their harvest remains the same to fetch its worth,” he said.

Meanwhile MSS has revealed that they are getting a second inter-island vessel soon.

“The new ship is designed by owner Ross Miller and building has already started,” he said.

“We have started building the second one and it is supposed to becoming out soon, the vessel is designed by Captain Ross Miller whilst Princess Moana was designed by me.

“We don’t want to actually mention what route the ship will take now because there are a lot of competitors, we have to be smart and we don’t want to step on any toes at the moment.”

According to Vonokula the vessel is designed to ensure convenience, comfort and safety for inter-island travelling passengers with their staff trained to deliver customer services that exceed the travellers’ expectations.

“Just like our slogan goes: “We live it, you’ll love it, be part of us,” which means the vessel is for the people.”

Mr Vonokula said the company was responding to the travelling public’s outcry of overcrowding and overloading.

“Four years ago, there was an outcry and writing in the papers, with the overcrowding and overloading and overcrowding, we have responded to that,” he said.

“As far as I know, shipping is better than it was seven years ago.”
