Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama will officially open TappooCity Lautoka on Saturday.

The premium five-star shopping mall’s opening will mark the monumental accomplishment by the Tappoo Group.

“We are honoured that the honourable Prime Minister has accepted our invitation to launch TappooCity Lautoka,” said Tappoo Group chairman Kanti Lal Tappoo.

The Prime Minister will be joined by a wide cross-section of the Fijian community.

Selected partners and entrepreneurs

Mr Tappoo said the official launch of the complex signals that all the entrepreneurs and companies operating the 25 outlets in the complex which includes two state-of-the –art cinemas have settled in.

“We are very proud of the selected partners and entrepreneurs at our TappooCity Lautoka mall. A few of these entrepreneurs are relatively new to the commercial world, but have done exceptionally well since starting their business here a few months ago.”

Job opportunities

More than 300 people work at TappooCity Lautoka Complex.

In addition, there are a large number of contractors and service providers who service the complex regularly.

This is a clear demonstration of the new job opportunities that the new mall has generated and contributed to the Fijian economy.

“The ceremony on Saturday will be a time for all partners to come together and share in this success,” Mr Tappoo said.

Grace Road Group Limited  Media Relations officer Grace Park said: “We are very happy and looking forward to the offical opening of TappooCity lautoka.

“Grace Road is very thankful to Tappoo Group for giving us space to operate our outlets here.

“They have an international standard facility and our product and standards are of the same.

“Business is good at TappooCity Lautoka and we are planning to open a Pure Green outlet here in the near future.”
