The Foundation for the Education of Needy Children Fiji (FENC Fiji) will be distributing more than 800 vouchers in the Western Division today.

Foundation coordinator John Tuiono said there were more than 2000 recipients who had already received their vouchers in the Central Division.

Mr Tuiono, said they would facilitate the distribution to all district offices in the West.

When asked about how the foundation monitored the use of vouchers, Mr Tuiono said they had a monitoring system, which was updated and reconciled with the suppliers, CK Bagain.

“Our supplier has its own software for updating and this be sent to us and we will cross check with all vouchers we have issued so far,” he said.

“We make an effort to make sure that all recipients use the vouchers for its purpose. Our ultimate goal is to get the children back to school.”

“We thank the Government of the day for the continuous support, and from our donors and all Fijians living abroad for supporting us,” Mr Tuiono said.

“Many Fijians now realise the importance of this help and we expect a big turnout from next year.”

From next year each recipient will have an identification card to avoid confusion.
