After hoisting the Pillay’s Garments Champion versus Champion title, the Babasiga Lions are looking forward to their Vodafone Premier League opener.

The deferment of their Vodafone Premier League opener has been welcomed by the side because unfavourable weather condition has affected their training.

Labasa Football Association secretary Varun Anand said they’re pleased to have veteran midfielder Edwin Sahayam and striker Anish Khem back in the team.

Sahayam was away on holiday with his wife while Khem was nursing a leg injury.

Anand also  confirmed  Bal Sanju  Reddy as their newly appointed coach.

“Our interim coach from the last CVC tournament Bal Sanju Reddy has been appointed as the new head coach for the Labasa football side ahead of the 2018 VPL,” he added.
