A man accused of robbing a woman of cash and items worth $113,170 at Damodar City in Suva on 2017, appeared before Justice Riyaz Hamza yesterday.

Taitusi Qoli pleaded not guilty to the allegation.

He is alleged to have robbed the woman on September 15, of $113,000 cash, a black knapsack worth $80 and silver and a black coloured USB valued at $90.

Qoli appeared in court represented by Suva lawyer Samanunu Vaniqi.

He informed that he understood the charge and pleaded not guilty accordingly.

The court heard that there were admissions in the accused’s caution interview.

Ms Vaniqi then sought 14 days to file voir dire grounds.

The accused was further remanded in custody and the case was adjourned to February 1 for bail application hearing.
