Ravouvou, Stewart Dropped

Two Fiji Airways Fijian 7s key players John Stewart and Vatemo Ravouvou missed out on selection for the next leg of the World Sevens Series due to disciplinary issues.
”Stewart and Vatemo have been stood down for disciplinary issues in Dubai,” the FRU release stated.
Head coach Gareth Baber is beginning to come down hard on ill-disciplined players as he prepares for a busy 2018 season with the World Sevens Series which ends in June, Commonwealth Games in April and the Rugby Sevens World Cup in July,
Baber believes he has selected a very strong team and was confident they would do well in the Sydney-Hamilton leg next week.
“We’ve named a very strong team which we hope will be very competitive and will do well in the two tournaments,” Baber said.
”We stepped up the intensity at training and we will treat all matches as the final”.
Forwards Apisai Domolailai and Apenisa Cakaubalavu have also missed out on selection.
The new players in the side are Fiji Airways Drua flanker Vasikali Mudu, blockbusting winger Avete Daveta and speedster Alosio Naduva.
Fiji play Sir Gordon Tietjens coached- Samoa at 8.28pm next Friday.
They will then face Russia on Saturday at 5.09pm and archi rivals New Zealand at 8.42pm.
