WORKS ON KIMBERLY STREET TO BEGIN FROM 6AM TOMORROW

Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) wishes to advise members of the public that we will be carrying out urgent rehabilitation works on Kimberly Street in Suva from tomorrow.
FRA General Manager Network Operations and Maintenance Aram Goes says they will be carrying out pavement and water main construction works.
“This work was due to commence in late December and was delayed due to new requirements to include upgrading of the water lines within the site. Full road closure will be in place from 6am to 6pm seven days a week.
Only residents will be allowed to enter Kimberly Street.”
He said they will set up a full Traffic Management in and around the area and traffic controllers will be directing traffic flow safely.
“The first stage of the works involves laying and commissioning of a new WAF water main. Other works include improvement to the pavement, footpaths, surface and surrounding drainage.
Driveways will also be modified to tie into new road surface and drainage. ” Work is anticipated to be complete by 17 February 2018, weather permitting.
