Domestic Airline Fiji Link is sponsoring the Fiji Rugby Union referees for the next five years,

And for the first time they unveiled new kit in a sevens tournament at the Mana Whey Coral Coast Sevens at Lawaqa Park.

“We are fortunate enough this year especially for this tournament to be fully uniformed by the major sponsor Fiji Airways,” FRU Referees Association president Samuela Tuidraki said

“We are known as the Fiji Link Rugby Union Referees.

‘We are seen as one and a big boost for referees especially for the young ones.”

He added this is a major boost for those who want to join the profession in the future.

“We thank the FRU, chairman and board for their hard work to include referees for the first time ever to be part of the sponsorship package in cash and kind,” Tuidraki said.

He added the kit will be the same when officiating in Kaji, Secondary Schools, Skipper Cup and HFC Farebrother Challenge competitions.The Fiji Link sponsorship is part of the big Fiji Airways commitment to rugby.

There are 24 referees participating in the 2018 Mana Whey Coral Coast Sevens.
