Rugby loses Gale

The Nadi rugby community is mourning the death of former national rep Peceli Gale.
The 61- year old of Dratabu Village died at the Lautoka Hospital on Wednesday after a short illness.
Eldest son, Ratu Lame Turuva Gale said his late father was a hardworking man and owned the biggest sugarcane farm in Dratabu.
“He was a family man and we were proud of what he did for our nation.People have started to come in large numbers to pay their respect,” he added.
Ratu Lame said his father put more emphasis on education and always stressed for villagers to use their money wisely.
He said his father was a humble man.
He made his debut for Fiji in 1984 against Tonga in Suva.
He also took part in the 1987 Rugby World Cup and played against England in Suva in 1988.
He is survived by his four children, 10 grandchildren and wife, Adi Nanise Sariri Gade. He will be laid to rest next week
