SSP Nakauyaca Sends Warning To Those Cultivating Marijuana

Divisional Police Commander (DPC) Northern, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Verani Nakauyaca, is warning those involved in cultivating marijuana to refrain from this activity.

SSP Nakauyaca said those caught would be taken to task.

“We are taking this issue seriously because lives are destroyed by smoking the illegal drug,” SSP Nakauyaca said.

“We will get to the bottom of it and I thank the people for giving us a tip-off. There are some who are known to us and we will get them.”

A total of 667 plants believed to be marijuana were uprooted in Siberia on Thursday.

Police have mounted a war on drugs where similar raids have taken place in Kadavu where four people have been arrested, charged and have appeared in court.
