A Nadi businessman personally thanked his staff for their hard work throughout 2017 by hosting them to a picnic last weekend.

Usman Ali (Lale), a name synonymous with business and the sport of boxing paid tribute to his workers who helped lift and promote his business.

Mr Ali owns Lale’s Millennium Group Companies Limited which has nine subsidiaries under its flagship.

On the boxing front, Mr Ali, with his passion to assist those in need, is one of the directors for the Boxing Commission of Fiji.

At the Newtown Beach in Nadi at the weekend, Mr Ali treated his staff to a two days of fun-filled events which included organized sporting activities (walk-a-thon, run-a-thon, boxing, wrestling, soccer, volleyball, Tug-of-War, canoeing, swimming and fishing).

Mr Ali said, “this internal event is to raise funds for the assistance for the under privilege students and provide them with essential requirements for their schools and for floods victims in Ba and Rakiraki.”

“This is the first time we have organised such an event for the staff who were the main force for the group and this is one way to give back to workers and their families. It was good fun.”

The event included the management team and staff of: Lale’s Service Station, Lale’s Fried Chicken, Lale’s Hardware Solutions, Lale’s Real Estate, Lale’s Mechanical Workshops, Lale’s Inspection Agency, Lale’s Shoprite Supermarket, Lale’s Car Sales and Lale’s Grocery Shop.
