Elections Office Sets Up Voter Service Centre in Nadi town

The establishment of voter service centres around the country is essential to the 2018 General Elections, says Mohammed Saneem.
The Supervisor of Elections made this comment at the opening of the voter services centre at the West Arcade in Nadi on Monday.

It was officially opened by the Electoral Commissioner, Margot Jenkins. The centre will be managed by two staff.
“In fact the Fijian Elections Office wants to quickly increase the accessibility to voter services and the Nadi office is a result of the high demand in voter services in this area” Mr Saneem said.
“We sincerely hope it can complement the voter services programmes in the Lautoka office for customers in Nadi and Lautoka,” he said.
Mr Saneem added he hoped the new Nadi centre would also branch to people in Sigatoka.
“Nadi is of course a very busy town where a high number of businesses are operating, it was quite difficult, so we had to take advantage of the arcades and we managed to find a place,” he said.
“The centre is of standard design which is similar to those in Savusavu, Nausori and Labasa.”
