Waisake Naholo’s Highlanders will host the Chiefs in round 17 of the 2018 Super Rugby match on June 30 at the ANZ Stadium in Suva. Naholo and fellow Fijian Tevita Nabura are in Mauger’s 2018 squad.

Yesterday, the Fiji Sports Council chief executive officer Litiana Loabuka confirmed the third Super Rugby match to be played in Fiji.

“The Pulse Energy Highlanders would be hosting the Super Rugby match against the Gallagher Chiefs in Suva on June 30,”Loabuka said.

“However, match tickets will be on sale from February 10 and prices will be set by the event organizer, Fortress Information.

“As we look forward to a fantastic Super Rugby match-up, I know fans will come down and support.

“The Gallagher Chiefs and BNZ Crusaders had a good experience and it is why they have enjoyed their time in Fiji. We are overwhelmed to have another new Super Rugby side come on board for this massive event in Suva.”

Mauger excited

Meanwhile, Mauger, is looking forward to playing in Fiji.

“We’re definitely excited to be bringing our home game to Suva this year,”Mauger said.

‘Being the next Super Rugby outfit to visit Fiji, we look forward to the great Fiji experience that we’ve heard so much about. We’ll see you in June Fiji.”

The Pulse Energy Highlanders 2018 squad includes eight current or former All Blacks and seven Maori All Blacks.

I will be there; Naholo’s Dad

Meanwhile, Waisake’s dad Aporosa was overwhelmed with the news,

“Now it’s confirmed, good news, Aporosa said from Nadroumai, Nadroga yesterday.“ Definitely I will be there. Waisake said something about it while he was here for the festive season.  It’s good to watch another Super Rugby match live at home.’

Naholo has returned to Dunedin after spending the New Year in Vanuabalavu, Lau. 2018 Super Rugby season starts on February 18.
