The President, Major-General (Ret’d) Jioji Konusi Konrote, received the credentials of the new Ambassador of the Repub­lic of Korea to Fiji, Cho Shinhee at Borron House on Tuesday.

Ambassador Shinhee presented her credentials after inspecting a 25-member guard of honour by officers from the Republic of Fiji Military Forces.

She graduated with a Master of Arts in Public Policy from the Ko­rea University Graduate School in 2017 and has a Bachelor in Law (LLB) degree from the National Open University of Korea.

Ambassador Shinhee also has a Bachelor of Arts in the German Language and Literature from Han­yang University in Korea.

She began her career in the public service in 1994 as deputy director of International Cooperation Divi­sion and served at various other ministries before being posted as Counsellor at the Republic of Ko­rea’s Embassy in the People’s Re­public of China.
