A Bangladeshi national has been taken in for questioning at the Nadi Police Station yesterday.
It is alleged the man had sexually assaulted a woman in her late 60s in Nadi earlier this week.
Police spokesperson, Ana Naisoro has confirmed that a report was lodged by the victim and that investigations were still at their early stages.
“Right now we are still in the early stages of investigations, the Police are still interviewing the victim and after this the accused will be interviewed.
“We want to confirm that the suspect is in Police custody,” she added.
