Fiji Airways Fijian 7s captain Seremaia Tuwai said their 19- 17 win over New Zealand last night was made possible through hard work and team work.

“Playing New Zealand is not always easy,” the soft spoken Cakaudrove native said.

Tuwai indicated that they were happy to end the day winning all their three pool games and has given them confidence going into today’s quarterfinals against USA.

“It has been a long journey for us especially when we had to start after the Olympics and had won only one tournament in the last series.

“So our plan is to go out and win the Sydney 7s.”

Tuwai said they would go back to discuss ways to improve their defence which was something they has been working on for the past month.

The Fijians take on USA in the first Cup quarterfinal at 12.28pm, South Africa meet Kenya at 12.50pm. At 1.12pm Australia takes on New Zealand while Argentina faces England.
