Final list by Feb 7: Bower
Team Fiji’s chef de mission to the Commonwealth Games Patrick Bower said sporting federations should submit their final list by February 7.
“All names should be submitted to the Fiji Association of Sports and National Olympics Committee (FASANOC) and once the names are finalised, athletes will undergo the second medical test,” Bower said.
“This is to determine whether or not they are fit or not to go.
“They would then be vetted by the Selection Justification Committee.”
Bower said athletes who felt they were supposed to be chosen but were omitted from the final list had the right to appeal.
“The final names will be announced on February 23, but athletes would be given February 24 and February 25 to appeal,”he said.
“The deadline for any appeal submission is February 26.
“But the appeal hearing would be held on February 28 and the decision would be made on March 2.”
