Water Author­ity Fiji women’s volleyball team retained the 2018 Marist Volleyball competition title yesterday.

The team defeated LFC in two straight sets at the Vodafone Arena, Suva.

WAF scored 25-19 and 24-13 to win $3000 yesterday.

Team captain Anaseini Seniloli was instrumental leading by example hold­ing her side together in the first set.

LFC was aggressive in defence but WAF stuck to their game plan.

The defending champi­ons continue to dominate the second set as LFC could not keep up.

Seniloli dedicated the win to the WAF family.

 

“I’m proud of the achievement. We fought until the final whistle and I want to thank the WAF family,”Seniloli said.

“This win is dedicated to the staff, our families, friends and I want to thank the girls for putting up a great performance.

“The first set was tight but we cruised through in the second set.”
