Ravuka Sharks are crowned the Nadroga 10s Top 16 champions after they beat Nasesevia Two 3-0 in the final at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka, on Saturday night.

In the PROD2 final Gaunavou Two edged out Vatunilumu 8-7.

Gaunavou Two coach, Amini Kunajuke said he was proud of the player’s performance.

“We had only a week to prepare ourselves as you can see that most of the players are young but that didn’t discourage us from taking on the big giants,” he added.

Kunajuke said most of the players were part of the Cuvu College Under-18 rugby team that made it to the Deans Tropy semifinals last year.

“This is a good platform for our boys to show their skills and maybe attract the Nadroga Rugby Union selectors.

“We will also prepare ourselves for the club games which will start soon,” he said.

Vatunilumu coach Ilaitia Nabewa said he was disappointed with the player’s performance.

“I saw that they were relaxed in the first few minutes of the game because they know that they were winning and that is disappointing for me as a coach,” he added.
