Wife In Critical  Condition After Alleged Knife Attack

A man who allegedly attacked his wife with a cane knife on Friday was arrested at Lomolomo outside Lautoka yesterday.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirmed that Robin Nath was apprehended after he attempted to take his own life.

“The man was arrested at Lomolomo after he had allegedly tried to take his own life,” Ms Naisoro said.

“He is admitted at the Lautoka hospital and is under observation.”

The man’s wife is also admitted and is in a critical condition after he allegedly attacked her on Friday afternoon after a reported heated arguement.

After he allegedly attacked his wife, the man fled the scene when neighbours came running in response to the woman’s cry for help.

The couple has a six-year-old son who’s currently being cared for by his mother’s family in Natabua, Lautoka.
