The lucky winner of the Fiji Sun Letter of the Month competition for November, walked away with a Philips sandwich maker from Courts Mega Samabula yesterday.

Nigel Robinson’s winning letter focused on the topic ‘Enjoy and Drink Responsibly’.

His letter highlighted how people, who at the time were approaching the 2018 festive season often engaged in celebrating by drinking alcohol.

The 32-year-old said: “I chose this topic to create awareness for people to be responsible and not be involved in trouble, and drivers not to drink and drive.”

He said while people celebrated and enjoyed themselves they also needed to bear in mind the need to be responsible.

“As a current law student of the University of Fiji, what motivated me is that the more I write, the more it improves my writing skills academically,” he said.

Mr Robinson said the Letters to the Editor was good platform to voice their concerns on what was going on around us.
