An Australian-born Fijian has returned home to sell juice to help set up his dad’s cafe business in Nausori Town.

Originally from Lomanikoro Village in Rewa, Tim Vuata’s juice business has now trended on social media and attracted many customers.

Now dubbed by customers as the “Juice Boy” he worked for a building construction company while in Australia before he came to Fiji last December.

“I’m helping my dad in the poultry farm and setting up his Rivers View Café in Nausori,” Mr Vuata said.

“Two weeks ago I decided to set up my juice stall just outside the café. My dad has helped a lot over the years so this is my way of thanking him.”

Village: Lomanikoro

Mataqali: Naivikivai

Yavusa: Burenivalu

Province: Rewa

The 25-year-old said “selling juice is fun because it attracts a lot of customers and the sales are going well”.

He sells juice during the day and runs a Barbecue stall at night.

“Many families turned up to buy juice, take photos and selfie and called me juice boy,” Mr Vuata said.

He returns to Australia next month and will be back in March to resume taking care of the juice stall, farming and café business.

“All of a sudden people start staring at me, and I was wondering why. A friend told me there was a picture of me that went viral on Facebook regarding my juice stall.”

And now he has a lot of friend requests on Facebook.

Mr Vuata is the third eldest of the five siblings. His mother is an Australian and father Kiniviliame has been impressed so far.
