Playing the basics right will be vital for the Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s team at the Tribe 7s in Australia today.

“We just have to be patient and hold on to the ball for longer periods plus improve on our work rate off the ball,”Coach Iliesa Tanivula said from Brisbane yesterday.

“We will also need to make our tackles count.”

“We also need to work hard for each other and minimizing our mistakes in contact situations.”

Tanivula also highlighted that making right decisions under pressure was something they had been working on.

After a disappointing outing during last week’s Sydney 7s, the Fijiana 7s team will be looking to bounce back in Brisbane.

Learning From The Sydney Flop

Shell-shocked by the immense improvements of the other teams, the Ana Maria Roqica –captained team aims to bounce back after winning only one game in Sydney last week.

“We were all disappointed with the result because we had all worked hard preparing for the Sydney tournament. But that is sports, you win some and lose some.

“But it is how we get up from that disappointment, cheer ourselves up and challenge ourselves again and try and get better.”

He urged all Fijians to remember the players in their prayers keep the faith.

They had their last run yesterday at the Brisbane State High School.
