A man has been questioned by Police in relation to yaqona theft in Wainunu, Bua.
This was confirmed by Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro.
“A team of Police investigators spent last Friday night at Wainunu in Bua to carry out an investigation into the yaqona theft,” Ms Naisoro said.
“The team returned and then again went on Saturday. That is when they brought in a man for questioning.”
She said they had received a number of reports where more than 200 plants had allegedly been stolen.
“The investigation into the yaqona theft continues,” Ms Naisoro said.
