Neeraj Chadha has been appointed Multi Property Vice President Fiji and Samoa Marriott International and General Manager Westin and Sheraton Resorts Fiji Complex.

Mr Chadha was Multi Property Vice President Australia and General Manager Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort & Spa prior to this appointment.

He has worked with Marriott for a total of nine years and in his career of over 25 years has also worked for Starwood, Hilton Worldwide and Radisson in a number of countries including Switzerland, India, Sri Lanka and Australia.

Prior to joining the Australia team in 2012, Mr Chadha was Regional General Manager Hilton Worldwide in India for nearly five years with 10 operating hotels, seven pre-opening hotels and over 3,000 employees under his watch.

Mr Chadha was also involved with the opening of the Mariott Momi Bay.

“Fiji is one of the most stunning parts of the world,” Mr Chadha said.

“The people of Fiji, the natural beauty and improving infrastructure are pillars of great strength for tourism in Fiji.

“Tourism is a major contributor of the country’s GDP and the focus on this industry to continue to flourish in the years to come will further strengthen Fiji’s position as a leading tourism destination in the world.

“One of Marriott’s values is to put people first.

“Learning Fijian culture, building relationships in the community and investing in developing our associates to deliver great customer experiences consistently is our approach to success.

“Growth is a key focus in the organisation and we will certainly be looking to grow Marriott’s brands in Fiji and the Pacific as we are doing in other parts of the world.”

Marriott brands in Fiji are the Fiji Marriott at Momi Bay and the  Starwood properties, including the Sheraton Fiji and the Westin at Denarau.

On his first reaction about coming to Fiji and working with new staff, Mr Chadha said he considered himself very fortunate that he had the opportunity to live in Fiji and work with such a fabulous team.

“My job is to take good care of our associates who in turn take good care of our guests and business will flourish.

“The team is proud of Fiji and they are proud to be a Marriott associate. We celebrate our successes and are not shy to call out our areas of improvement. The enthusiasm and passion our people have to succeed and deliver great experiences is infectious.”

Mr Chadha is married to Kanchan and they have two daughters Sachi and Tanisha.
