Marist Brothers Primary School headteacher Felix Magnus said the school opened five new classrooms and a toilet block.

Marist Brothers Primary School newly appointed headboy Jett Quai Hoi is delighted with his appointment.

“This is very happy moment for me since my parents are proud and this is going to be one in a life time opportunity,” said the 13-year-old.

Jett said that he was the first from his siblings to be badged as headboy. His elder brother and sister did not have the privilege.

During the ceremony, the school also celebrated the launching of the new toilet block and five new classrooms.

Marist Brothers Primary School headteacher Felix Magnus said the school opened a $444,000 five-classroom block and a $37,000 new toilet block. The money was raised by the parents and teachers association.

“One of the reasons why Marist brothers have taken this incentive of trying to build five new classrooms is to cater for the growing population from the Suva to Nausori corridor,” Mr Magnus said.
