John McKee says the Fijian Giants (Tuwawa) need to step up at the Brisbane Global Rugby 10s which kicks off today

The Fiji Airways Flying Fijians head coach said there’s no better platform for the Mosese Voka –captained team to prove their worth and play like a Tuwawa at the Suncorp Stadium in the next two days.

“This is a top competition involving Super Rugby and top clubs from Japan and France and I believe our boys will front up,”McKee said.

“Our players fared well in the Australian National Rugby Championship last year and this is another chance for our boys to show what they are capable of.”

Laced with seasoned and young local players, the Fijian Giants will be sure to attract plenty support on debut.

Chris Kuridrani, younger brother of Nemani Nadolo has joined the team replacing Seru Cavuilati who was not able to travel.

The Fiji Giants a) have been drawn together with the Brumbies, Crusaders, and Hurricanes in Pool C.

Following the Brisbane Tens, the Giants will then play a Super Rugby pre-season match against the Reds at Ballymore Stadium on February 15 at 7pm. The Giants play the Brumbies at 7.09pm, Hurricanes at 11.01pm today and Crusaders  at 5.04pm tomorrow.
