Discipline Holds Key: Headboy Talaiasi

Burebasaga District School prefects are geared to working together with their teachers to maintain discipline in the school.
Leading the charge will be newly-appointed headboy Talaiasi Moluvu, 12, who told the Fiji Sun this was an exciting year for him. The need to focus on discipline arose after he was part of the student council and as a deputy headboy last year.
“One thing my parents taught me was to listen to my elders and work hard,’’ Talaiasi said.
“I believe if my juniors follow this, it will make work and studying easier.’’
Originally from from Serea, Naitasiri, Talaiasi believes that strong discipline is the main ingredient students need to achieve better marks in their exams.
Headgirl Vasemaca Kanasalusalu, 12, who was deputy headgirl last year and a member of their student council said this year’s prefects would hope to carry on the good work left behind the past headboy and headgirl.
“I was happy and excited when I was given the good news. I knew we have been given a big responsibility,” she said.
The school’s deputy headboy is Lepani Naivalu while Vani Tidaliga is the deputy headgirl.
