Table Tennis 3 Head To Japan

Table Tennis Fiji Association president Anthony Ho said they would be taking three of their athletes to Japan for training as part of their preparation for the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
“We will be taking our young athletes of Vicky Wu, Sally and Grace Yee,” Ho said. The trio will leave towards the end of this month.
“This will be a huge boost for our preparation for the Commonwealth Games and yes we will take every opportunity as it comes.”
The association received their approval from their Japanese counterpart and also the Japanese Olympics Committee.
“To be given opportunity to train with one of the top table tennis playing countries in the world is a very good opportunity for us to learn and work on areas we are lacking in.”
Ho said this was a timely boost for them given the disruption in their preparations due to lack of training venues.
“But despite all these challenges we will do our best for Fiji in this year’s Commonwealth Games and we want to rise to the occasion.”
The trio will be back in time for the Oceania Championship which will be held on March 15- 18 in Gold Coast, Australia as well.
“It will serve to be a good pre-Commonwealth Games competition.”
Ho said after that they would be returning to Fiji, before they leave for the Commonwealth Games in April.
“We have a busy schedule ahead of us but we will do our best and so far we have been on par with what he had set out to do,” he added.
