Head Prefects Ready To Juggle Leadership Role with Academic Work

Nasinu Muslim Primary School badged 144 students as prefects for 2018 at the school premises last Thursday.

The school has 36 teachers and caters for 908 students.

Mohammed Shaafee, 13, said that he was happy to receive the badge as headboy.

“Being first in the family to receive the badge is something huge for me,” Mohammed said.

“I felt a sense of pride and was joyful.

“My parents were speechless after hearing me getting badged as headboy.”

With an added responsibility he will equally distribute his time in his academic pursuit and his leadership roles as the headboy.

Ruqaiyah Murshidah, 13, said she wants to be the role model for the school.

She was class prefect, assistant headgirl and deputy last year.

“No one in the family has been a headgirl I feel proud and excited,”  Ruqaiyah said.

With commitment she will work hard  to ensure she does well academically and also use the same energy to carry out her duties as the headgirl, she added.
