Solomon Islands international striker Benjamin Totori and Vanuatu’s Brian Kaltak are ready to play for Lautoka in the Oceania Football Confederation’s (OFC) Champions League later this month.

The duo played their first match together against Rewa in the Vodafone Premier League last Sunday where they won 2-0. They have vowed to help Lautoka win the Champions League for the first time and to qualify for the FIFA Club World Cup later in the year.

“We came here for a mission and that is to help Lautoka win,” Kaltak told SUNsports.

“This is my first time to play for a Fijian club and I’m happy to be here. The Fijian style of play is different as compared to my previous clubs in New Zealand and Vanuatu. I have brought my experience and will share it with my fellow team mates as we go in as a team to win the Champions League.”

The 24-year-old played a solid game for Lautoka as a defender and kept the Rewa strikers led by Setareki Hughes at bay.

“I’m really proud of this opportunity to play for Lautoka,” Kaltak added.

Striker Totori said he is looking forward to play for his third Fijian club.

“Lautoka is my third club in Fiji and I’m looking forward to play in the Champions League. It has been a long while that I have come to play for a Fijian club and I am ready.”

Totori had earlier played for Nasinu and Labasa before moving back to the Solomon Islands.
