Nischal Nihaal Kumar and Reeshu Ronika Prasad have been appointed as headboy and headgirl respectively to lead a school roll of 285 students.

Kumar said that he was proud and honoured during the Sabeto College induction last week.

“I feel proud and I think it’s my hard-work that brought out the best in me. I am glad to be part of such an honored institution,” he said.

He said he has gained the inspiration to be a good leader from his teachers and the farming community where he lives.

“I got inspiration from my teachers. They had confidence in me from the very beginning and also not forgetting my parents who always supported and above all I believed in me,” the head prefect said.

Chief guest, Airports Fiji Limited general manager Air Traffic Management and Aviation Training Isei Tudreu challenged the school leaders to do their best in all facets of their responsibility.

He reiterated that the prefects Induction paved the way for visionary leaders for the academic year 2018 with the Theme “Excellence: Pray it, Work it, Play it and Live it”.

Headgirl Reeshu Ronika Prasad said it was indeed a pleasure to lead Sabeto College and also to create more future leaders.

“My message to all the upcoming youths and the future leaders is to have faith in yourself. Work hard in silence and let your success make the noise,” Reeshu said.

She thanked everyone for being part of the event. She added the chief guests key note address was extremely brilliant.

Principal Shelly Imran said that the student council was the backbone of the college towards maintaining and strengthening discipline among students.

She added the gathering of the large number of parents and guests added an air of collaboration and were a bonus towards the ceremony
